My Name is Gijs

My name is Gijs Heerkens, and I am an internet entrepreneur and the founder of Rostro. I was born in 1983 in the Netherlands.

I enjoy developing my ideas, urban exploring, fitness, soccer, listening to music, watching movies, listening to podcasts, cooking, and reading books.

I specialize in building innovative online products and work remotely from various cities around the world.

Back in 2009, I Wanted to Create a Passport Photo Online. But That Did Not Exist

I founded Rostro’s precursor in 2009 when I needed a passport photo and wanted to create it online, but such a service did not exist at that time. Since then, I have been working on the website every single day, initially with a business partner, but now independently. I strive to make improvements daily, and there is continuous progress every month.

I am passionate about online entrepreneurship, as it allows me to help people worldwide create U.S. passport photos from the comfort of their own homes at an affordable cost.

I Work Online from Various Cities around the World

My ultimate goal has always been to work for myself and be location-independent, which I have achieved through Rostro. Currently, I work online from various cities around the world. My current location is Barcelona, Spain 🇪🇸.

I believe in living life to the fullest and doing what I love now, rather than waiting until old age.
