Can You Wear Glasses in a Passport Photo?

The guidelines for wearing glasses in passport photos have specific rules or recommendations:

  • Avoid Glare and Reflections: If glasses are worn, they should not cause glare or reflections that obscure the eyes.
  • Eyes Must Be Visible: The frames should not cover the eyes, and there should be no tinted lenses that make the eyes difficult to see.
  • No Heavy Frames: Large or heavy frames that obscure facial features are generally not recommended.

If glasses are part of your everyday appearance, glasses are permitted, especially if they are for medical reasons.
